How To Prepare Cranberry Glazed Baby Ribs
1. Prepare the Dry Rub and Glaze
In separate bowls, combine the ingredients from the dry run and glaze.

2. Build the Flavours
Remove the ribs from the packaging, and sprinkle with dry rub on all sides. Use your fingers to dab in the spice mix. Then brush them with ½ of the glaze mixture, turning to cover all the sides.

3. Time to Bake
Transfer the ribs to a parchment-lined baking sheet and place them in a preheated oven. Bake for 25 minutes, until sizzling and caramelised.

4. Finishing Touches
Remove the ribs from the oven, and brush with the remaining cranberry glaze. Cut into individual rib pieces and serve immediately.

Tips & Tricks
-
Use a Good Jam. Since cranberry jam is the main ingredient in the glaze, make sure you like the flavour of the one you’re using.
-
Make It Spicy. Add a sprinkling of ground chili, or use hot smoked paprika to add a layer of heat.
-
Don’t Be Afraid of The Heat. Let the ribs sizzle and get nicely caramelised (because caramelisation = flavour).
FAQ
What type of cranberry jam should I use?
If possible, use a more liquid jam with whole berries.
Can I use fresh ginger instead of ground?
Yes, feel free to swap dried ginger for grated or minced fresh ginger. Since dry ginger is stronger and more pungent, you will need to add more than ¼ tsp to achieve the same flavour. Taste and adjust the seasoning accordingly.
Is this recipe gluten-free?
While Marbles Meats aren’t gluten-free certified, we do not use gluten in our recipe.
Can I prepare this recipe ahead of time?
You can mix the dry rub and glaze in advance, and marinate the ribs in the fridge for up to 1 day, until you are ready to bake them.
I don’t like ginger. Can I leave it out?
Of course!
What should I pair these ribs with?
Pair these festive vegan ribs with Cider Braised Loin, Meaty Mushroom Stuffing, Thick-Cut Filet, Caramelised Onion Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, and Roasted Brussels Sprouts for a full Thanksgiving experience.
